Terms and Conditions

Effective date: July 22, 2026

Welcome to My G.R.I.T. Academy. These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and Sejal Learning Systems (“My G.R.I.T. Academy,” “we,” “us”) governing your use of the mygritacademy.com website, our online courses, and related services (together, the “Services”). Please read them carefully — by creating an account, purchasing a course, or otherwise using the Services, you agree to these Terms.

My G.R.I.T. Academy offers five self-paced online courses on resilience and personal development. These rules exist to keep the platform safe, fair, and useful for every learner. Details about how we handle your personal data are in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms.

Plain-language note: where a section below has real consequences for your rights (payments, disclaimers, dispute resolution), we’ve tried to say so clearly at the start of the section. Summaries are for convenience only — the full text controls.

1. Accounts

You need an account to purchase and take courses on My G.R.I.T. Academy. Registration asks for a username, an email address, and a password. There is no email confirmation step, so please make sure the email address you enter is correct — we use it to send receipts, access details, and account notices. Provide accurate, current information and keep it up to date.

You are responsible for everything that happens under your account, so keep your password secure and don’t share your credentials or let anyone else access your account. If you suspect someone else is using your account, tell us immediately at ownyourgrit@gmail.com.

The Services are intended for adults. You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) to create an account and make purchases. Learners under 18 may use My G.R.I.T. Academy only under the account and supervision of a parent or legal guardian who accepts these Terms.

You may not transfer or sell your account, and you may not create an account using someone else’s identity. We may reclaim usernames or close accounts that impersonate others or violate these Terms.

2. Enrollment & Access to Content

When you purchase a course, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and view that content through the Services, for your personal, non-commercial use only. Everything else is reserved: you may not resell, share, redistribute, publicly perform, or make course content available to anyone else, and you may not download content except where we provide an explicit download feature.

Course access is a one-time purchase with lifetime access. Once you have bought a course, it remains available in your account for as long as we continue to operate the Services — there is nothing to renew and nothing that expires. We may need to remove, update, or replace specific content for legal, licensing, or quality reasons. If a course you purchased is discontinued, we will make reasonable efforts to offer you comparable content or a credit.

We may revoke access to content or the Services if you violate these Terms, including sharing your account or redistributing course materials.

3. Purchases, Payments & Refunds

3.1 Pricing

Each individual course is $99 USD. The bundle, The Resilience Series, is $299 USD and grants access to all five courses. Both are one-time purchases. Prices are shown at checkout and may change from time to time; changes apply prospectively and never retroactively affect a purchase you have already made. Prices may not include applicable taxes, which are calculated at checkout based on your location.

3.2 One-Time Purchases — No Subscriptions

There are no subscriptions, memberships, or recurring charges on My G.R.I.T. Academy. You pay once for a course or for the bundle, and your payment method is not charged again. There is no auto-renewal, no billing cycle, and nothing to cancel. Purchases are tied to your account and can’t be transferred or shared.

3.3 How Payments Are Processed

Payments are processed by Stripe. Your card details are submitted directly to Stripe and are handled under Stripe’s own terms and privacy policy. We never store your full card number. We keep a record of your purchases so we can provide access and support.

3.4 Refunds

If a purchase isn’t what you expected, contact us within 30 days of purchase and we’ll issue a refund to your original payment method. We reserve the right to decline refunds where we see abuse of this policy — for example, when a large portion of the course has been consumed, or an account shows a pattern of purchase-and-refund behavior.

4. Content & Behavior Rules

You may use My G.R.I.T. Academy only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. When using the Services you agree that you will not:

  • share your account or make course content available to people who haven’t purchased it;
  • copy, scrape, or harvest content, data, or personal information from the Services, whether manually or with automated tools;
  • reverse-engineer, interfere with, or disrupt the Services, or attempt to access them by any means other than the interfaces we provide;
  • upload or submit anything unlawful, infringing, deceptive, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, or malicious (including viruses or other harmful code);
  • misrepresent your identity;
  • use the Services to send spam or unauthorized advertising.

We may investigate reported violations and take any action we consider appropriate, including removing content, issuing warnings, and suspending or terminating accounts.

5. Content You Submit

The Services may let you submit content — responses to interactive exercises and widgets inside lessons, and messages you send to us (“Your Content”). You keep ownership of Your Content. So that we can operate the Services, you grant Sejal Learning Systems a worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, and display Your Content in connection with providing and improving the Services. You can end most of this license by deleting the relevant content, except to the extent we need to keep copies for legal purposes.

You are responsible for Your Content. By submitting it you represent that you have all necessary rights to it and that it doesn’t violate the law or anyone else’s rights. We may remove any of Your Content at our discretion, including content we believe violates these Terms.

6. Our Intellectual Property

The Services and all content we provide — including courses, lesson materials, graphics, logos, software, and the platform itself — are owned by Sejal Learning Systems or our licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. Our courses include real personal stories contributed by named authors; those stories remain the property of their respective authors and are used with permission. All course content is licensed to you for personal, non-commercial use only.

Except for the limited access license in Section 2, nothing in these Terms grants you any right, title, or interest in the Services or our content. “My G.R.I.T. Academy,” “Sejal Learning Systems,” and our logos are trademarks of Sejal Learning Systems and may not be used without our written permission.

7. Learning Records

As you work through a course, the platform records your learning activity — such as which lessons you view and complete and the responses you give to interactive widgets — as xAPI statements in a Learning Record Store operated by Sejal Learning Systems at lrs.sejalsolutions.com. We use these records to save your progress, show you where you left off, and understand how the courses are used so we can improve them. See the Privacy Policy for full details on how these records are handled.

My G.R.I.T. Academy currently has no quizzes, no graded assessments, and no certificates. Nothing on the platform is an accredited course, academic credit, a continuing-education unit, a professional license, or a credential.

8. Using My G.R.I.T. Academy at Your Own Risk

Learning outcomes depend on you. We don’t guarantee that any course will produce a particular result — a job, a promotion, a change in your circumstances, or otherwise. Course content is provided for educational purposes only.

Our courses cover resilience and personal development. They are not therapy, counseling, or medical, psychological, legal, or financial advice, and they are not a substitute for care from a qualified professional who knows your situation. If you are in distress or in crisis, please contact a qualified professional or your local emergency services.

The Services may contain links to third-party websites and services we don’t control. We aren’t responsible for their content or practices, and your use of them is governed by their own terms.

9. Our Rights

We own and operate the platform, and we may modify, update, or discontinue any part of the Services — including features, courses, and pricing — at any time. A price change never affects a course you have already bought. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services if you violate these Terms, if required by law, or if your use poses a risk to the platform or other learners. You may stop using the Services and delete your account at any time.

10.1 Binding Agreement & Severability

These Terms (together with the policies they incorporate) are the entire agreement between you and us about the Services. If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it.

10.2 Disclaimers

The Services and all content are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don’t warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. Some jurisdictions don’t allow these disclaimers, so they may not fully apply to you.

10.3 Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sejal Learning Systems will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages (including lost profits, data, or goodwill) arising from your use of the Services, and our total liability for all claims relating to the Services is limited to the greater of (a) the amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose and (b) US $100. Some jurisdictions don’t allow these limitations, so they may not fully apply to you.

10.4 Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Sejal Learning Systems and its officers, employees, and agents from claims, demands, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of Your Content, your use of the Services, or your violation of these Terms or of any third-party right.

10.5 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Missouri, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Where the Dispute Resolution section below doesn’t apply, you and we consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Missouri.

10.6 Notices; Relationship; Assignment

We may send you notices by email or through the Services; legal notices to us should go to the contact in Section 13. These Terms don’t create any partnership, employment, or agency relationship between you and us. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

11. Dispute Resolution

Summary: talk to us first — most issues are resolved quickly and informally. If we can’t fix it, disputes are resolved in small claims court or by binding individual arbitration, not class actions.

11.1 Informal Resolution First

Before filing a claim, contact us at ownyourgrit@gmail.com with a description of the dispute and your desired resolution. You and we agree to try in good faith to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days before starting any formal proceeding.

11.2 Small Claims or Arbitration

If we can’t resolve a dispute informally, either party may bring an individual claim in small claims court, or the dispute will be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules. Arbitration will be conducted in English, and any in-person proceedings will take place in a mutually convenient location or by videoconference. Judgment on the award may be entered in any court of competent jurisdiction.

11.3 No Class Actions

You and Sejal Learning Systems each agree to bring claims only in an individual capacity, and not as a plaintiff or class member in any class, consolidated, or representative proceeding. Nothing in this section prevents either party from seeking injunctive relief in court for infringement or misuse of intellectual property.

11.4 Opt-Out

You may opt out of the arbitration and class-waiver provisions above by emailing us at ownyourgrit@gmail.com within 30 days of first accepting these Terms, with the subject line “Arbitration Opt-Out” and your account email. Opting out doesn’t affect any other part of these Terms.

12. Updating These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our Services, our business, or the law. When we make a material change, we’ll notify you by email or by a prominent notice on the site before the change takes effect. Your continued use of the Services after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms; if you don’t agree, stop using the Services.
